Beliatta, Jan 22 (Daily Mirror) - Five killed after shooting incident in Beliatta

At least five persons were killed in a shooting incident near the Beliatta interchange on the Southern Expressway.

Four persons have reportedly lost their lives at the scene while another had died upon admission to hospital.

The shooting had taken place today at around 7.45 am, when a group in a Prado type vehicle had opened fire at another group in a Defender jeep.

Police suspect that underworld criminal Kosgoda Sujee's gang has carried out the shooting.
