Several MPs to form new group next week

A group of Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MPs together with MPs from other parties have initiated new moves to bring Members of Parliament of all parties to form a joint group to ensure economic justice, the Daily Mirror reliably learned.

Colombo allows Pakistani frigate Taimur to dock, Dhaka says no

Sri Lanka has allowed permission to the Chinese built-Pakistani guided missile frigate PNS Taimur to make a port call at Colombo while on its way to join the Pakistan Navy in Karachi. Build by Hudong-Zhonghua shipyard in Shanghai, the warship is on its maiden voyage to Pakistan while exercising en-route with Cambodian and Malaysian navies.
