The Health Ministry has so far detected 13 eye patients who developed complications due to the use of ‘Prednisolone’, an eye drop imported from India used after cataract surgeries.
MP Lakshman Kiriella said the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has informed the Nilames and organizers of the Kandy Esala Perahera to deposit a sum of Rs. 13 million in order to supply an uninterrupted power supply for the festival.
