Why is govt. purchasing 13Mn doses of least effective Sinovac?
Health experts are up in arms over a move by the government to purchase 13 million doses of the most expensive Sinovac vaccine which has a very low efficacy over the Delta variant spreading rapidly in Sri Lanka, the Daily Mirror learns.
MP Lakshman Kiriella said the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has informed the Nilames and organizers of the Kandy Esala Perahera to deposit a sum of Rs. 13 million in order to supply an uninterrupted power supply for the festival.
