J’pura study finds current COVID-19 strain in Sri Lanka different to previous ones
Researchers of the University of Sri Jayawardenapura have found that the current circulating strain of COVID-19 in Sri Lanka is different to the strains that circulated in the country previously.
MP Lakshman Kiriella said the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has informed the Nilames and organizers of the Kandy Esala Perahera to deposit a sum of Rs. 13 million in order to supply an uninterrupted power supply for the festival.
