President Gotabaya Rajapaksa would present the new government’s Policy Statement at the ceremonial sitting during the first session of the Ninth Parliament on August 20, the Department of Communication of Parliament today said.
MP Lakshman Kiriella said the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has informed the Nilames and organizers of the Kandy Esala Perahera to deposit a sum of Rs. 13 million in order to supply an uninterrupted power supply for the festival.
