The California District Court of US has dismissed and denied allegations levelled against former defence secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa by Ahimsa Wickramatunga, the daughter of slain Sunday Leader Editor Lasantha Wickramatunga.
MP Lakshman Kiriella said the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has informed the Nilames and organizers of the Kandy Esala Perahera to deposit a sum of Rs. 13 million in order to supply an uninterrupted power supply for the festival.
