Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had reiterated their commitment to strengthen ties and work towards the mutual benefit of both nations.
MP Lakshman Kiriella said the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has informed the Nilames and organizers of the Kandy Esala Perahera to deposit a sum of Rs. 13 million in order to supply an uninterrupted power supply for the festival.
